Piotr Kurek is Warsaw-based musician known from his numerous aliases including ever-evolving instrumental music of Piętnastka, a duo with French artist Sylvia Monnier as Suaves Figures, and his latest solo enterprise Heroiny. He utilizes electronic instruments and organs, often punctuated by vocal flourishes and concrete tape manipulation. His recent albums have firmly established him as one of the more interesting musicians combining elegance and sophistication that is reminiscent of the early electronic pioneers and classic minimalism, bringing with it an entirely new and unique approach.
