Meakusma Festival 2024

-

The Meakusma Festival 2024 will take place from August 29th to September 1st. We are thrilled to now announce the festival’s full lineup!

From Thursday to Sunday, from a gentle start to a considerate close, some 140 artists, bands, and installations will take over various locations in Eupen, all within walking distance of each other. Coming over to Eupen for the festival has always meant being completely absorbed by it.

From legendary artist, musician, composer, sound designer, and recordist Trevor Mathison, to singer and oud player Kamilya Jubran and trumpeter and electronic musician Werner Hasler, the genre-bending Josey Rebelle, Susu Laroche, the psychedelic club rap of Honour, composer Lea Bertucci together with the Echo Collective, Giulio Erasmus and The End of the Worm, the legendary Freiwillige Selbstkontrolle, Lamin Fofana, Labour, Katatonic Silentio, Marcus Schmickler, Will Guthrie, Jessica Ekomane together with Afrorack, Tintin Patrone & Angela Anzi, Salenta + Topu, the lineup is broad and delves into the fringes of experimental and club music, sound art, and more.

Collaborations come in the shape of various showcases by collectives and labels such as 5 Gate Temple, Hands In The Dark, Dispari, Futura Resistenza, ReiheM, and Common Time. Installations are the Sähkö-related Museum of Sound, the tower of sound, a new organ installation by Maxime Denuc, and a bewildering installation focused on the work of Die Tödliche Doris.
