The north-of-Berlin based label 90% WASSER is a multidisciplinary record label and a platform for the various activities of the artists involved. 90%WASSER publishes sound recordings, produces films and organizes exhibitions, concerts, actions and readings.
Jürgen Eckloff and Robert Schalinski founded 90%WASSER in Berlin in 2000 to counter the destruction of a few thousand sound and video carriers. A network was created that saved and redistributed the products of other publishing houses from destruction.
