Porter Ricks
This duo of Thomas Koener and Andy Mellwig was founded in the 90s, creating exquisite and inspiring soundscapes full of detail, blurring the line between the dancefloor and immersive headphone music.
In 1996 Chain Reaction released ‘Biokinetics’, one of the most important and influential techno albums of all time, reissued to great acclaim last year. Giving ‘Biokinetics’ 5 stars, Resident Advsior wrote of the reissue: ‘Ultimately it seems like Koener and Mellwig took the reverse approach to many of today’s artists: rather than making techno with an experimental edge, they made avant-garde music with a techno pulse.’
Porter Ricks will perform their first live show in many years in Belgium at meakusma.
