Beautiful Swimmers are the DJ and production duo of Pickering and his longtime pal and DJ partner Ari G. Mixing samples from old forgotten records they find at flea markets and thrift shops with live musicianship, ‘the Swimmers have released some epic tunes on Future Times like the boogie bomb ‘Swimmers Groove’ and the cosmic reggae-tinged ‘Big Coast’, which have both gotten major play from heady DJs around the world. They’ve also done remix work for labels like People’s Potential Unlimited and Institubes and have upcoming remixes for Teengirl Fantasy as well as the RVNG and the Permanent Vacation labels. Beautiful Swimmers also host parties in DC under the name ‘The Whale’ and have played with the likes of Tensnake, Tim Sweeney, Hunee, Aeroplane, Dam Funk, and Lovefingers. This will be their third time visiting Europe and are eager to play in Belgium following their appearance at Rush Hour’s Disco 3000 party at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, where they are opening for Theo Parrish and Carl Craig.
