ambiq is the trio of modular synth wizard Max Loderbauer, clarinetist Claudio Puntin and drummer Samuel Rohrer. All three also play electronics. Three virtuosos drinking from a deep pool of influences, their improvisations unite them into a single organism with its own unique expressive vocabulary and perspective, bridging jazz, electronic, electroacoustic and Neue Musik. With the confidence and finesse of masters, their collaboration is documented on two elegant albums (the second due out in November 2015 on arjunamusic records) and sublime live performances.
